WHAT IS REIKI
Reiki is a form of alternative therapy that originated in Japan.
The word "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: "rei," meaning universal, and "ki," meaning life energy or vital force. So, Reiki can be loosely translated as "universal life energy."
In Reiki practice, practitioners believe that they can channel this universal life energy through their hands to promote healing and relaxation. When the flow of this energy is blocked or disrupted, it can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual ailments, and by restoring the flow of energy, balance and well-being can be restored.

During a Reiki session, the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the recipient's body, allowing the energy to flow through them into the recipient. The recipient typically lies down fully clothed during the session. The practitioner may focus on specific areas of the body or simply allow the energy to flow where it is needed.

Reiki is often used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical treatment to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support the body's natural healing processes.
